How Do You Make a Blow Mold?

Blow molding is a process for producing hollow plastic products. It can be done in three different ways: extrusion, injection or stretch blow molding.

In the extrusion process, molten plastic is fed into a parison, which is a tube-like piece of plastic with a hole in one end. The parison is then clamped into a mold and air is forced into it to inflate it.

Extrusion Blow Molding

Extrusion blow molding is a manufacturing process that creates hollow plastic parts. In this technique, plastic pellets or beads are melted and dispensed into a barrel that rotates using a large screw.

During this process, the molten plastic flows over a screen and breaker plate and jwell 20liter jerrycans making machine to ensure consistency. Then, it is fed into a die.

Blow molded bottles and jars are commonly used to package food, laundry detergents, bleach, household cleaners, and liquids. They are a common, inexpensive production method for the plastic industry.

Stretch Blow Molding

Blow molding is a manufacturing process that involves blowing air or inert gas into a heated object to create hollow parts. It can be used to produce a wide variety of products, including plastic bottles.

Stretch Blow Molding (SBM) is one of the most common methods to make bottles and packaging material. It uses polyethylene terephthalate or other synthesized polymer and expands the preform using specific amounts of air pressure.

The main advantage of this process is that it can produce biaxially oriented plastic which increases tensile strength, barrier properties, drop impact and clarity. It also reduces the weight of the bottle and allows for thinner walls.

The process requires a two-stage setup that includes a preform and a blow stem. This setup is placed in a divided mold.

Injection Blow Molding

Blow molding is a plastic manufacturing process used to make hollow products such as jwell PP and ABS Thick Plate Extrusion Line. These include bottles, jars, and other containers.

In this procedure, plastic is heated and shaped into a hollow tube-like parison before being blown in the mold. This process can be continuous or intermittent.

The most common material is polyethylene. It has several desirable characteristics including easy processing, good durability, and dimensional stability.

It is also resistant to odors and chemicals.

To design a blow mold, you must first create a mockup of the product or a CAD model. This helps your blow mold supplier to create the best mold for your part.

Then, you can choose your plastic. Typically, polyethylene is the most commonly used material for blow molding. Other materials can be used, too.

Cast Blow Molding

Blow molding is a plastic molding process that creates hollow parts such as water bottles or cosmetic containers. It uses an extruded or injected preform called a parison to form the final container and compressed air to shape it.

The preform is melted, and then extruded into a tube-like piece with a hole at one end through which compressed air can enter. The parison is then blown into the mold to expand until it matches the mold cavity’s shape and the hollow part has formed.

It is a very simple process, and can be used to make all sorts of different objects like for jwell PVC High Speed window Profile Extrusion Line. Just make sure that you choose an uncomplicated object and lubricate it well so that the mould doesn’t stick to it.

There are three main blow mold methods: injection, stretch, and extrusion. Each method has its advantages. Injection and stretch blow molds are primarily used for small to medium-sized products with relatively complex geometries, while extrusion blow molds are suitable for large parts with highly technical requirements.
